Maxwell Franklin Wilson, 85, of Pickens, SC, the husband of Carolyn W. Wilson, went to be with his Lord and Savior on Sunday, June 18, 2017.



Born in Habersham County, Georgia, he was the son of the late Ora Haskel “O.H.” and Toona Allen Wilson.



Surviving is his wife, Carolyn W. Wilson of Pickens, South Carolina; a son, Keith Alan Wilson (Lois) of Charleston, South Carolina; and a daughter, Pamela Wilson Woolen (Charles) of Queensland, Australia; five grandchildren; Maxwell Franklin Wilson, II, Michael David Wilson, and Keith Eric Wilson of Charleston, South Carolina,...

Maxwell Franklin Wilson, 85, of Pickens, SC, the husband of Carolyn W. Wilson, went to be with his Lord and Savior on Sunday, June 18, 2017.



Born in Habersham County, Georgia, he was the son of the late Ora Haskel “O.H.” and Toona Allen Wilson.



Surviving is his wife, Carolyn W. Wilson of Pickens, South Carolina; a son, Keith Alan Wilson (Lois) of Charleston, South Carolina; and a daughter, Pamela Wilson Woolen (Charles) of Queensland, Australia; five grandchildren; Maxwell Franklin Wilson, II, Michael David Wilson, and Keith Eric Wilson of Charleston, South Carolina, and Aaron Macon Woolen and Kylie Michelle Woolen of Queensland, Australia; a brother, Kenneth Wilson (Doris) of Taylors, South Carolina; two sisters, Eunice Wilson of Pickens, South Carolina and Joyce Clark of Lexington, South Carolina; and a brother in-law, Jerry Jones of Pickens, South Carolina.



Mr. Wilson was predeceased by his parents, a sister, Betty Jones of Pickens, South Carolina, a brother, Roy Wilson, and a brother in-law, Jim Clark.



The family will receive friends on Monday, June 26, 2017 from 1:00pm until 2:00pm at Dillard Funeral Home.



Funeral Services will be held on Monday, June 26, 2017 at 2:30 pm at Dillard Funeral Home, with the Reverend Brandon Wimpey, Reverend Robert Fowler, and Reverend Bill Mosley officiating. Interment will follow the service at Hillcrest Memorial Park and Gardens with Reverend Brandon Wimpey officiating.
